Ray J qui avec sa sœur Brandy est un petite vedette de la TV avec son émission familiale intitulée Famiily Business, était présent aux derniers Soul Train Awards.

Ces mêmes Soul Train Awards qui ont mis en colère Rick Ross et se déchaîner Chrisette Michele (ICI).

Ray J est resté tranquille et en a profité pour parler de son prochain album produit par lui même et Darkchild aka Rodney Jerkins.

Darkchild, un producteur que Ray J aime beaucoup et qu'il considère comme le meilleur des producteurs:

Rodney Jerkins is the greatest to me as far as putting together a body of work, understanding an artist and understanding the craft and hard work it takes to put together a body of work. He's my favorite producer to work with and I'm happy that he and I executive produced this project and we're gonna come out so strong.

Ray J est revenu sur son dernier single intitulé Last Wish (voir plus bas) et qui ne devait pas être le premier single de ce nouvel album.

Lui aurait voulu un morceau plus Mainstream pour assurer sa promo, mais finalement, il a choisi un morceau plus personnel:

Last Wish is a very important song to me because it's an honest song. I had a single called “One Thing Leads To Another” which is a smash featuring Pit Bull and we were gonna release that record first but with what I was going through with my relationship, I decided to go with this song first.

This song is just about my last wish to take care of my responsibilities and stand up as a man and take care of my girl but sometimes it's hard to reknew that trust. It's about any last wish anyone could have from any angle. From love, from pain, from hurt, what's your last wish? The metaphors could be so much more.

Et de nous parler de son nouveau set intitulé Raydiation 2:

I got a few rappers on it Gucci Mane, Ludacris, Pitbull, but this album is just a personal album to me. I don't' think people a lot of people understand how passionate music is to me, how gifted I am vocally. You hear my sister and you know my sister comes with it vocally so I just wanna showcase my true talent to everyone. I'm not just about television shows and reality TV, this music is very important to me.

Ce Raydiation 2, qui sortira lors du premier trimestre 2011, n'accueillera que quelques rappeurs mais pas trop car, cet album est un album plus personnel dans lequel Ray souhaite s'exprimer librement afin que l'on découvre véritablement ses talents de chanteur.
